AI search visibility checker
Does ChatGPT name your business when someone asks for one nearby?
Questions people ask
- What does the AI visibility checker actually do?
- It runs a real geo-grid scan. We ask the answer engine you pick — ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode or Grok — the question you type, from nine points spread across a one-mile square around your business, and record whether the answer names you, where you placed, and which other businesses it recommended.
- Do I need an account?
- No. No account, no email address and no card. The check runs on our own scanning credits, which is why it is limited to one question, one answer engine and a small grid per run, with a daily ceiling.
- Why does it ask from nine places instead of one?
- Because an AI answer is not one answer. Like a map pack, it changes block to block, so a single sample tells you almost nothing. Nine points across a mile is the smallest grid that shows the shape of the problem.
- Why only one answer engine per check?
- Each engine is a separate scan and each scan costs us money. The paid product runs all five together, on a daily, weekly or monthly schedule, and keeps the history so you can see whether last month’s work moved anything.
- My business did not come up at all. Is that bad?
- It is common, and it is fixable. AI answers lean heavily on the same signals local search does — your listing, your categories, your reviews, and what the rest of the web says about you. The businesses named in your place are the ones currently sending those signals more clearly than you are.
One reading is a snapshot. A trend is a plan.
Marketing OS runs this across all five AI answer engines on a schedule you set, keeps every run, and shows you per-surface movement and a share-of-voice leaderboard against the rivals the answers actually name — next to the ads, posts and local work that change it.
How this is worked out
Your map pack rank has been measurable for a decade. The answer an AI gives about your category has not been — so most businesses have never seen it, and you cannot improve a ranking you do not measure.
This is a real scan, not a simulation: the same geo-grid machinery the paid product runs, cut down to one question, one answer engine and a nine-point grid over a mile. Everything you see — the rank at each point, the average, the share of voice and the rivals named — comes back from that scan.
It costs us money every time, so results are cached for a week per business, question and engine, and there is a daily ceiling. If the checker says it is out for today, that is genuinely what happened.
