Meta ads account checkup
Connect read-only, and get your ad account scored across eight areas.
Connect your ad account
We ask Facebook for one permission — ads_read — and nothing else. There is no code path from this page that can change anything in your account, because we never asked for permission to.
No account, no email address and no card. We keep the connection only long enough to run the checkup, and drop it after three days unless you sign up and keep it.
Questions people ask
- What permission are you asking Facebook for?
- One: ads_read. That is read-only by construction — there is no code path from this page that can change a budget, pause an ad or touch a campaign, because we never asked for permission to. The ads integration inside the product asks for more, but only after you have an account and choose to connect it.
- Do I need an account?
- Not to get your score and the three biggest problems. The full report — the numbers behind every area, what each was measured against, and the rest of the findings — needs a free account. Signing up carries the connection over, so you do not reconnect anything.
- What does it actually look at?
- The last 30 days of the account: campaign and ad set structure, where the budget is concentrated, click-through decline on the ads that are spending, frequency, the pixel and Conversions API, whether your ads send tagged traffic, the attribution windows in use, and whether audiences are excluded from each other.
- How long do you keep the connection?
- Three days at most if you never come back, and we drop the Facebook token on a nightly sweep. If you sign up and keep it, it moves onto your account and the copy from the checkup is destroyed.
- Why does an area say “not readable”?
- Because we could not read it, and saying so is more useful than guessing. An account with no spend in the window has no frequency; a login without a pixel attached has no pixel health. An unreadable area is left out of the score rather than counted as a pass.
A checkup is a photograph. The account moves every day.
Marketing OS runs these checks continuously across Meta and Google, tells you the moment the pixel stops firing or spend spikes, and — when you let it — fixes what it finds inside the caps you set. The connection you just made comes with you.
How this is worked out
Eight areas, judged by rules rather than by a model: account structure, budget concentration, creative fatigue, frequency, pixel and Conversions API health, UTM hygiene, attribution windows and audience exclusions. Each one produces a verdict, and the score is the mean of the areas we could actually judge.
Every threshold is stated. An area does not say “looks unhealthy” — it says what was observed, what it was measured against, and what the miss costs. They are the same thresholds the paid product runs on, because a free checkup that disagreed with the app would be worse than no checkup.
An area we could not read reports that plainly and is left out of the score. A connection without a readable pixel is not a broken pixel, and scoring it as one would make the number worth ignoring.
